Projects have specific need for contributors that require a level of skillset and proficiency. There are projects that are beginner-friendly.

A. As a Project Contributor, we recommend that fellows attend a minimum of 4 sessions.

Time commitment is required:

– at least 4 hours outside of meetings weekly devoted to project work and reviews with mentors

• and ability to attend 30-45 min bi-weekly stand-ups for 4 weeks (May 16th-July 2nd)

B. As a Hackathon attendee, get involved a one-week hackathon capacity, and work on a design challenge. While at the hackathon, get a chance to network, attend demos and be able to give feedback to teams onsite in New York City.

• Project Great Dane (Design Challenge) is an equitable mapping project in its conceptual stage. Project leads will be hosting a 4-hour sprint on 05/16.

• Project Foxhound (DEMO + Workshop) is a project about hiring culture research with a goal to build an effective job board. Project leads will be hosting a 2-hour sprint workshop on 05/16.

- Project Husky (DEMO + Workshop) is a Conversational AI platform its conceptual stage. The team plans to set up a landing page for Phase 1. The team is planing to workshop content modeling framework for Phase 2 before the year ends. Join virtually or check out our team’s demo on Hackathon Day.

We’re looking for:

Content Designers

We are seeking a passionate volunteer Content Writer to contribute to Project Husky, an initiative using conversational AI to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world applications. In the first phase, you will focus on building a compelling landing page that effectively communicates the project's mission and impact.

Responsibilities:

• Develop content strategy for the landing page to clearly convey the project's purpose and benefits.
• Write engaging and concise copy that resonates with families, educators, and community partners.
• Create survey questions to gather valuable feedback from users.
• Collaborate with the team to set up analytics tools to track landing page engagement.
• Ensure content is aligned with the mission of improving access to educational resources for children with autism.

Qualifications:

• Strong writing and communication skills with experience in web content creation.
• Passion for social impact, particularly in the field of education and accessibility.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team setting.
• Prior experience in content strategy or landing page development is a plus.
