Project Foxhound (Public-Facing Summary)
Project Foxhound is a privacy-first digital platform designed to support professionals from historically underrepresented backgrounds as they navigate job applications and workplace culture in the tech industry. The platform provides career support tools, user education, and peer-contributed insights, with a focus on fostering psychological safety and informed decision-making.
The initiative was developed in response to recent shifts in workplace language norms and policy landscapes affecting employee engagement and access to professional resources. Emphasizing anonymity, data protection, and accessibility, the platform was created using user-centered design methods and community-led research to ensure trust and relevance.
Key Contributions and Features:
- Led strategy and design for a secure, mobile-first web application accessible via Femmecubator
- Conducted qualitative research with 25 professionals, split into two cohorts (interviews and usability testing)
- Designed a moderated, anonymous discussion space focused on workplace experiences and professional development
- Developed a custom iconographic system to visually represent career-relevant terms in a discreet and culturally responsive manner
- Collaborated with legal and HR professionals to curate employment rights content and industry-specific guidance
- Prioritized accessibility, security, and compliance through the use of password protection, content moderation protocols, and anonymized data collection
- Drafted early frameworks for community events such as professional panels and career workshops
